I often find myself reading about practical challenges for filmmakers and even setting my own to people I work with. Many competitions regulate there intake by setting these ground rules which force creators to be as intuitive and as resourceful as possible. The end results are always varied and often reflect the experience and knowledge of the seasoned filmmaker, or teach valuable lessons to those in need. In this particular case myself and collaborator Adam Bennett promptly decided upon completing a photo shoot for his portfolio that we might try to develop a video element that would accompany it. For me, it felt like one of the exercises that I so often preach to others of their value yet so rarely produce my own. So here is the result of two hours spent in a living room aside a busy Salford road.
As explained in a previous article, we were dealing with less than ideal conditions yet managed to walk away with some beautiful results.
